KAILAGER
Kailager youth camp is an annual outreach project aimed at engaging teenagers and keeping them away from negative influences on the streets. The camp provides a beautiful and spacious environment where they can connect with God. This year, the project plans to take 120 teenagers to a coastal campsite from December 16th to December 22nd. Apart from the youth camp, the church also runs other ministries, including an impressive kid’s ministry that helps equip the youth with leadership skills, enables them to serve young children, and nurtures their personal growth.

Our church
Founded in 1961 as the “Deutsche Evangelisch-Lutherische Gemeinde Westrand,” the West Rand Lutheran Community Church has grown into a vibrant congregation of approximately 460 members. The “Erlöser” (Redeemer) Church, inaugurated in 1967, serves as their spiritual home, offering worship services in English and German. A diverse array of groups, from Children’s and Youth groups to those for adults and seniors, enriches their communal life. Joyland Nursery School prepares children aged 18 months to 6 years for formal education, while Riverbank Primary School educates children up to grade 7. Guided by faith in the Triune God, the church strives to inspire love, compassion, and spiritual growth in its members and the community.
